Hi, I'm Tonia.
Shyneeknobs began in 2020 with an idea I didn't completely understand and, at the time, wasn't sure I was worthy of carrying.
I knew God had given me something, but I didn't know what to do with it. What I didn't realize then was that while I thought I was building a business, I was also being changed by the process.
I was learning to trust myself.
I was learning to use my voice.
And I was discovering a confidence that had been inside me all along.
For much of my life, I felt like the black sheep—the one who didn't quite fit. I've experienced moments that made me question myself, my worth, and whether I should keep going. Even when I was told not to pursue this business, something inside me refused to abandon what had been placed in my heart.
And that became part of the reason Shyneeknobs exists.
I never want a woman or girl to believe she has to become someone else before she is worthy of believing in herself.
It Began With Color
Shyneeknobs began with nail polish, but I never wanted to simply sell bottles of color.
To me, color can speak to the heart.
A polish named Courageous can become a reminder when you're afraid.
A journal can become the place where you finally tell yourself the truth.
A greeting card can say what a friend needs to hear at exactly the right moment.
A bracelet can carry one small word that reminds a girl who she is.
A self-care ritual can remind a woman that she deserves a moment to exhale.
That is how Shyneeknobs grew from nail polish into a Brand House created for women and girls.
Different products. Different experiences. One purpose.
To inspire you to discover, nurture, and grow what is already within you.
Why I Create
Before I create something, I find myself coming back to three questions:
What does this color say?
What does this moment mean?
What do I want her to feel?
Because I don't create just to make something beautiful.
I create emotions that I hope will inspire a woman or girl to believe in herself.
I believe confidence isn't something we paint on, put on, or purchase. Those things can simply become reminders.
Confidence is discovered, nurtured, and grown from within.
That belief is woven through Shyneeknobs and everything that has grown from it.
Speak Life
One belief has remained especially important to me throughout this journey:
“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” — Proverbs 18:21 NIV
The words we speak to ourselves matter.
That is why so many of my creations begin with words—names like Loved, Grow, Guidance, Becoming Her, and Only One of Me. They aren't just product names. They are little reminders of something I hope you eventually won't need anyone else to tell you.
I want women to speak life into themselves, and I want us to teach our girls to do the same—to know their worth, pray, dream, create, and walk confidently in who they were created to be.
And I'm Still Becoming
Shyneeknobs isn't the story of a woman who figured everything out and then decided to inspire others.
It is the story of a woman who kept becoming and decided to invite other women and girls to do the same.
I am still learning.
Still creating.
Still listening.
Still growing.
And every time something new comes from my hands, my prayer is that somewhere, a woman or girl receives more than a product.
I hope she receives a reminder of herself.
